Mr Basel Al Kasem founded Al Basel Consultancy in 2008. He is a former Business Development Manager at Burj Al Arab (The only 7-star hotel in the world).
He is a Saudi National who has obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Central Florida, as well as his Master’s Degree from the University of New England in Australia, and completed two business courses from Harvard University. Basel has earned awards for his assisting non-profit organizations such as the Dubai Handicap Club, senior advisor to Ms. Triago Board in France, consultant for several leading hotels, and member of several international associations.

Al Basel Consultancy announces new partnership with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group
Al Basel Consultancy, a leading company in the high-end hospitality sector and a member of the Al Basel Group, has announced a partnership with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, the global luxury hotel brand, to promote its 44 hotels worldwide to their clients in the Middle East and GCC.
The agreement was signed by Michael Hobson, Chief Marketing Officer, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and Basel Al Kasem, CEO, Al Basel Group. Alison Styles, Vice-President Sales & Marketing EMEA and Adrian Hearn, Regional Director of Sales for the Middle West, both from Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, also attended the event together with Omar Al Kasem, Director of VIP accounts at Al Basel Group.

The agreement was signed by Matthew Dixon, general manager, Corinthia Hotel London and Al Basel senior management led by Basel Al Kasem, managing director and Omar Al Kasem, director-VIP Accounts. Under terms of the agreement, Al Basel will help promote the hotel across the GCC region particularly targeting VIPs who often travel to London on business and leisure trips. The consultancy firm will also be advising the hotel on marketing initiatives, tools and high-profile events.
